When collecting Aldar Gift Card from a Customer Service Desk, please produce your e-receipt either on your mobile phone or a printout of the email issued.

When you purchase the Aldar Gift Card online, the minimum load amount is AED 50 and maximum load amount is AED 3,600. If you purchase the card from the Customer Service desk you can load any amount from AED 50 to AED 36,000.

Yes, you will need to activate your Aldar Gift Card prior to use. You will be required to register an account or log into your existing Aldar Gift Card account, and then activate Aldar Gift Card. You will also need to setup a PIN for transactions of AED 500 and above.
This may happen, for example, if the available balance on your Aldar Gift Card is less than the purchase amount. You may inform the merchant of the remaining balance on your card and use another form of payment to pay the difference.

No. The card cannot be used at an ATM to withdraw cash.
Yes, you can use the remaining amount in your card and another type of payment (cash/card) to complete your purchase. If you don't, tell the cashier or merchant and try to make a purchase for the amount on the card. The transaction will be declined if you don't have enough credit available to make the purchase.
Returns are at the discretion of the merchant/store who sold you the item. Each merchant/store has its own return policies and will handle the returns in the same way as any other transaction. They may refund the amount to your Aldar Gift Card, provide a cash refund or a store credit.
The entire value of your Aldar Gift Card should be used before the end of the card validity period (which shall occur 12 months from the date of purchase). After expiry, your Aldar Gift Card will be invalid, not able to be reactivated and all amounts remaining will be deducted therefrom. If you contact us before the expiry date to reactivate your card, and provided your Aldar Gift Card holds funds of at least AED 65, you will be provided with a new card and your funds will be transferred. There will be a deduction of AED 15 which shall be charged as a replacement and reactivation Fee.
For avoidance of doubt, a replacement Card can be issued only once, and you will not be entitled to receive any further cards should it expire.
You can login to your Aldar Gift Card account and mark the card lost/stolen. Alternatively, you can call the Call Centre number provided on your Aldar Gift Card or card package to cancel it. Provided you have previously registered your Aldar Gift Card with your name and address and Aldar Gift Card holds an amount of at least AED 65, we will cancel your Aldar Gift Card and replace it with a new Aldar Gift Card.
Any balance then remaining will be transferred to the new Aldar Gift Card. We will reissue the card only after a period of up to 15 business days following your request to ensure that we have received details of all transactions up to cancellation. Aldar Gift Card Replacement Fee of AED 15 will be deducted from the balance.
